From A9 Northbound: 7.7miles in total

Before you reach Inverness turn left onto B851 sign posted (s.p.) Fort Augustus and
Dunlichity Trout Fishery (D.T.F.)
Drive for 2.8 miles to Inverarnie. Turn right onto B861 s.p. Inverness and D.T.F.
Drive for 700 yards and turn first left, s.p. Dunlichity, D.T.F. and Wood Turner.
Follow road for 4.9 miles past fishery, past little Loch a’Chlachain on the left until you see larger Loch Duntelchaig on left until you reach Easterton of Duntelchaig.
The driveway is on the right hand side, large boulders line the entrance and there is a white letterbox on a pole.
If you start to leave the loch and reach a cattle grid you need to turn round and go back 400 yards.

From A9 Southbound:

Leave A9 at 3rd junction after the Kessock bridge s.p.Culloden and Croy. Turn left at the traffic lights and you will come to the Inshes roundabout, next to the Tesco Inshes store. From the Tesco Inshes roundabout take the exit s.p A8082 (the Sir Walter Scott Way), to Lochardil and Holm.
Drive straight on through a series of roundabouts for 4 miles until you reach the 8th roundabout signposted as the ‘Essich Roundabout’. Turn left onto the Essich Road s.p. Torbreck and Essich. Note: If you come to a roundabout with only a left and right option this is the ‘Dores Roundabout’ and you have driven one roundabout too many. Come back on yourself to the Essich roundabout.
Drive for approx 7 miles up the hill and past Loch Ashie on your left until you reach a crossroads. Turn left s.p. Loch Duntelchaig.
Follow road for approx 1 ½ miles and over 2 cattle grids. Note: Ignore the homes on the right after the first cattle grid as one is called ‘LochView’ and one ‘The Steading’!
Loch Duntelchaig will be on your right hand side and 400 yards after the 2nd cattle grid you will came to a left hand bend. Just past this you will see Easterton of Duntelchaig on your left hand side. Large boulders line the driveway and there is a white letterbox on a pole.

Note: If you are coming from the centre of Inverness you would make your way to the Essich roundabout and follow directions from there.

You will get mobile phone reception on the journey apart from around Loch a’ Chlachain and the crossroads by Loch Ashie. Ring if you are lost!
